The Citation CJ3 brings premium executive performance to Orbit Virtual Airways. Designed for speed, comfort, and efficiency, the CJ3 is perfect for charter, corporate, and high-priority operations. Boeing 737-700

The 737-7 is the most versatile member of Orbit’s narrowbody fleet. Its excellent short-field performance and strong climb capability make it ideal for regional and high-density routes, while still offering mainline comfort and efficiency.

Boeing 737 MAX8

The 737 MAX 8 represents the next generation of Orbit’s narrowbody operations. With improved fuel efficiency, longer range, and an upgraded flight deck, the MAX 8 gives pilots a modern, highly immersive flying experience while supporting some of the longest narrowbody flights in the network.

Boeing 737-800

Pilot Resources / Training

Rank Progression

All pilots start at the Regional Rank, gaining experience flying short- and medium-haul routes. As you log hours and demonstrate proficiency, you can advance through our rank structure.

Type Ratings

To ensure realism and safety, pilots must complete a type rating for each aircraft before operating it. Our detailed type rating programs cover:

  • Aircraft systems and procedures

  • Flight performance and limitations

  • Realistic cockpit operations and checklists

  • ACARS and route-specific training

How to join

Becoming a pilot at Orbit VA is simple, you just have to follow these steps.

  1. Meet the requirements 

  • Must be 12 years of age ​

  • Access to a flight simulator (MSFS, Prepar3D, or X-Plane)

  • Vatsim account or Skylink Coms account​​

    2. Complete the application form ​

  • If accepted, you will be enrolled in our training program, where you will complete the training for your aircraft before you join our operations

Positions Available

  • Operations & Dispatch – Assist with flight planning, route management, and ACARS support

  • Training & Mentoring – Guide new pilots through type ratings, tutorials, and rank progression

  • Community & Events – Organize group flights, challenges, and online events

  • Technical Support – Help pilots with ACARS, simulator issues, and fleet systems

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliability and professionalism

  • Passion for flight simulation and virtual airline operations

  • Experience with VATSIM or flight simulators is a plus
